about me

Heather & Linus

Name: Heather
Scarily close to 30
Chicago, IL
Unidentified and irreplicable
Occupation: Human slave to four felines- Isobel, Rose, Sophia, & Linus. Professional innovative problem solver. Passionate volunteer. Creative weirdo.

I am a lover of many things, but what I love most is a challenge. Photographing cats in a shelter environment not only proves to be a formidable task, but also an incredibly rewarding and enlightening experience.

my equipment

I shoot with my Pentax K-x and a variety of lenses: 18-55mm, 50mm, 20mm. I also occasionally use a 1970’s Polaroid Sx-70 and a variety of older manual focus Pentax glass from my now deceased Pentax K1000 for special shots, but neither are great for shooting unpredictable, fast moving furry creatures.

my photos

If you are interested in purchasing prints of any of my photos, they are available, so please contact me. If you are interested in using any of my photography for commercial use, please contact me to negotiate terms and pricing. I am also available for private shoots with your fabulous feline. More information is listed in the “Contact” tab. A portion of all the proceeds from the prints I sell and the jobs I get through this site are donated to PAWS Chicago.
